A new baby is always cause for celebration and gift giving, although sometimes finding the perfect gift that will be unique and lasting can be a challenge! One solution is jewelry. Giving a piece of jewelry allows you to have the option then of giving something that can be put away for when the child is an adult- for such an occasion as an 18th or 21st birthday- or choosing something tiny and delicate, especially designed for a baby.

Of course, there are more options for a baby girl when it comes to giving a piece of jewelry, although a men’s ring, watch or necklace could be an appropriate gift ‘for later’ for a baby boy. Charm bracelets and ID bracelets have always been popular for baby girls and they often sport the traditional bluebird but there are so many beautiful and unique charm designs out there now that the sky really is the limit. There are charms now with popular cartoon characters, cute critters from ladybirds to frogs and even things like windmills for the baby of Dutch descent!

One way to personalize the jewelry gift is to select a piece that has the child’s birthstone. Children’s earrings often are displayed according to birthstone which makes it easier but for other jewelry pieces a quick Google search will easily give you the correct stone for the month of birth. You can also save on cost, while not jeopardizing quality, by opting to choose a simulated diamond or other stone in the piece. Simulated gems are created in a laboratory with the result of a beautiful gem with the same chemical composition as a mined gem. They are just as dazzling as the mined gems while having the benefit of being significantly less expensive and better for the environment. Quality simulated gems are impossible to tell apart from mined gems with the naked eye and are able to be placed in settings just like a mined gem would.

The setting itself should be of quality if it is to be a keepsake as well as a gift and traditionally gold (either yellow or white gold) has always been the popular choice. If it is within your means then platinum, of course, would be the optimum although at the end of the day the main concern is that the gift is given from the heart and nothing shows this more than a little thought and inspiration with a personal touch.

Children’s bow earrings are not only a cute and fun way to accessorize your child’s wardrobe but also an elegant and sophisticated addition to her jewelry box. Bow earrings are dainty little earrings that are appropriate for children of all ages. You can find high quality bow stud earrings from about $25 and to about $115 depending upon the material of your earrings and the designer.

Gold bow earrings come in both white and yellow gold. For instance, you may get a pair of 14 karat polished solid yellow gold earrings. The easy and secure safety screw helps prevent any damage to your child’s ears since they easily push on then screw off the 5/16-inch posts. Such well made earrings can cost only about $25.

Should you prefer white gold, you would do well to consider the Britney 14 white gold children’s bow earrings. This particular model of earrings is meant to have a timeless, classic look as it combines an older style with a modern sensibility. Britney earrings cost about $115. You might also find other 14-karat white gold bow-shaped earrings from Katarina Jewelry or other outlets for $60.

Silver bow earrings appear to be rare in children’s sizes, but Little Diamonds carries a line of bow-shaped children’s silver earrings. These sterling silver creations feature a diamond stud in each earring, come in a presentation box, and have an optional polishing cloth. Silver or gold can be the backdrop of diamond bow earrings as well. For instance, the Snow White diamond stud bow earrings are made of 14-karat white gold and features safe screw backs for your little girl. These earrings cost more than $200. The Snow White bows on heart hoop earrings are constructed of white gold but feature diamonds and pink sapphires in their design. These bow earrings cost less than $500.

Betsy Johnson carries her own unique bow stud earrings as well as Jessica Simpson. The Betsy Johnson “First Date” bow stud earrings are white bows in black trim. This handcrafted creation may be appropriate for older children and costs $25.

There are many options in children’s bow earrings from which you and your little girl can choose. You may find simple but elegant bows within a modest price range or you may find more elaborate designs at a higher price. In any case, there are arrays of earrings that will make your little girl’s wardrobe pop.

Many people today that have baby girls like to use accessory items to dress up their baby with. Most babies look very similar in appearance and it is difficult to the difference between a girl and a boy. Using accessories such as hair ribbons and baby earrings can help define your precious infant as the little girl she is. These extra small earrings are specially designed for use with infants and toddlers. Infant earrings can be found in an assortment of different shapes, colors and styles. These earrings are post styles with secure screw on backs.

The baby flower earrings are designed with a tiny flower as the shape. These particular earrings are created from 14KT yellow gold and have the flower enhanced with the placement of tiny cubic zirconium stones. This same design is also available in white gold as well. A variation on this flower design is the style that includes dangle pearl beads as dropped or hanging items from the flower. Another cute design is the mini butterfly style. This is available in various colors and is shaped like a tiny butterfly. The color is an enamel finish on a 14KT gold piece that shows through in the body of the butterfly.

You can also find baby diamond earrings and diamond and pearl earrings. These come with tiny diamond chips set into the backing of the item. You will find these elegant little diamonds set into various shapes including flowers, hearts and ovals. There are a few styles created as hoop designs that use a lever back type of hinged piece to secure the earring in place. Like the post styles, these are designed for babies with pierced ears and come in a variety of styles.

There are also many gemstone stud earrings available in the line of baby jewelry items. Some earrings come with matching bracelets, which are also designed to fit the tiny wrist of an infant. The earrings for babies can be found in some specialty stores that carry baby apparel items. You can also find them available online through special jewelry merchants. Most boutiques that offer ear piercing for babies will carry the various small earrings they can wear. The various designs of these earrings can help you enhance the look of a special outfit you have for your baby to wear to a special event or occasion, such as a holiday or birthday party.

Designer earrings come in many different sizes and styles, to satisfy a variety of tastes and coordinate with many different fashions. They are desired by many women, both young and old. They can become a staple of a wardrobe or a special pair to go with an evening gown.

Though many items are very ornate, there are some simpler models that will go with every day fashions or styles, to be worn to work or school. Some of the many producers of these fine pieces are Oprah, Giorgio, Nadia and Kerri Parker. Many fancier items include diamonds and precious gems. They are most often seen in a drop style or dangling fashion. There are many different options available with nearly any gemstone you prefer.

Designer jewelry earrings can made with a large diamond and surrounded by smaller gems, while others simply contain several gems of the same size. Such items are made in gold, white gold or sterling silver, or platinum. While platinum is typically the most expensive metal used, gold and white gold items can be quite expensive as well. Sterling silver is a much less expensive option, though it is ideal for women or girls with very sensitive ears.

Children’s designer earrings can be as ornate as those for older women, though very young girls typically wear the post style with one solid gem. Older girls may like diamonds but they often prefer styles that are a bit more fun and trendy. Les Bijou, Houjei and Smitherine have some very attractive options that are unique in style and very affordable. Some are priced as low as $30. Hoops that twist in many different directions and styles with hammered silver or steel are very trendy and will go with many of the trendier teen styles.

Designer silver earrings are usually less expensive than others, but are offered in a nearly unlimited array of styles. This option is great for those who do not want to purchase several different pairs for their wardrobe. They go with nearly any color you choose to wear. Some are carved or cut in a manner that makes them look like they are covered in expensive gems. Others, like simple hoops, can be worn for any occasion.

Designer gold earrings are attractive and can draw quite a bit of attention. They may be adorned with precious gems or diamonds. Those without gems can be just as elegant, if they are made with an elegant filigree pattern.

Choosing the perfect pair of silver hoop earrings may be a challenging task with so many styles, sizes and prices available on the market. Your personal favorite will depend on your taste in jewelry, whether simple and elegant or elaborate with some pizzazz. The items you select will also be contingent on how much you are willing to spend on your purchase. Another factor to consider is the event to which you will be wearing your new earrings and how large of a hoop you wish to have dangling from your earlobe.

Where will you be wearing your earrings? Select a style or design that is appropriate for a particular event. For instance, the large silver hoop earrings work very well to accessorize your party outfit or your dancewear. For a less flashy style suitable for everyday wear, small silver hoop earrings are a nice choice. Of course, the range of hoop sizes vary and the proper size will depend on what is comfortable for you. The larger sizes of earrings will be heavier than the smaller ones; therefore, the heavy ones will tug more on your ears. If you have a formal event or wedding to attend, a set of silver dangle earrings make a nice addition to a bridal or evening gown. One design for the dangling style earrings include those with multiple hearts hanging from the post, which make a lovely selection for the bride-to-be.

For high quality, sterling silver hoop earrings are the best option. Some styles of hoops are plain and polished while others have crystals added. Good quality does not mean that the jewelry must be expensive since items made from silver are sold at many second-hand shops and web-based jewelers. Individualized or custom pieces are sold by jewelry makers and on craft websites. Many styles of hoops are also sold at various retailers and online auction sites.

Your idea of the best style for the silver hooped ear jewelry will depend on your preferences. You may wish to select a set of simple silver 3/8-inch hoops to wear with your office attire or a larger, flashier pair of 2-inch hoops to go with your party dress. There are also some nicely designed hoops with cubic zirconia added into the hoops for more sparkle, which will be a great addition to your evening gown. Your taste in style, sizing and pricing will help you to select the best pair of silver earrings with hoops.

If you like the idea of gold earrings but not the price tag of 22k or 24k gold or you don’t like the yellow hue of high concentration gold, 14k earrings could be a good match for you. All gold jewelry is made from gold mixed with other alloys because 100% pure gold is too soft for earrings and other jewelry. 14k gold is a good choice for earrings because it is hard enough for stone settings and is less expensive than other types.

One reason why people choose 14k gold earrings is because they have a paler color than the bright yellow of 22k and 24k gold. Many people think that highly concentrated gold looks too bright and garish, and this paler color looks good with all skin tones and hair colors.

An alternative to gold earrings–if you’re not keen on the color of gold–is to choose white gold earrings. Earrings made from this material have the value of gold but the color of silver, so they make a great choice if you’re looking to buy a special gift for someone who usually prefers silver jewelry.

14k earrings are the best choice for diamonds and other precious stones as the setting will not soften and loosen as it may in 22k or 24k jewelry. This means you can enjoy wearing your diamonds without fear of losing them.

There are many different styles of earrings available and most women have several pairs to choose from depending on the occasion. Simple stud earrings are great for everyday use and do not distract from the hairstyle or outfit worn. 14k diamond earrings can look particularly good as studs as the simple setting shows off the diamonds to their full beauty.

For evening wear, usually a bigger earring works well. 14k hoop earrings always look classic and stylish and are attractive without looking over the top. You can choose a different style of hoop depending on the occasion – very small hoops are an alternative to studs for day time use and you can select a larger hoop for wearing out in the evening.

Gold a great choice for most people interested in jewelry. Gold is usually a non-reactive material making gold earrings a good choice for someone with skin allergies. Whereas cheap costume jewelry can result in itchy and discolored skin, gold earrings can be worn continuously and there is no need to take them out for sleeping or bathing. This makes gold a great material for everyday earrings as well as earrings for lavish events.

I tend to rant and rave about children’s stud earrings on here. I guess I’ve never been all that big on children’s hoop earrings. Maybe I’m just a paranoid mom, but I’m so afraid that the little loop would get caught on something. Nonetheless, there are a lot of people that love children’s hoop earrings.

This style ranges from little baby hoop earrings right up to a normal sized earring. I have to admit that the first time I saw a hoop earring for a baby, it was the cutest little thing. It could sit on top of my pinky finger. These earrings can be okay for a baby as long as you are careful with blankets or other things that could get caught in them. As they get older though, I would only recommend letting your kids wear them when they aren’t going to be running around a lot – church, dinner at grandmas, family pictures. Those types of things. Alright, enough about my over-protectiveness.

The two most popular styles are sterling silver hoop earrings and 14k white gold hoop earrings. Both are reasonably inexpensive. Most any place that sells children’s earrings will carry hoops as well. The size on these earrings matters a little more than with studs. Studs are more-or-less one size fits all. But, hoop earrings vary in size. (As in the size of the hoop). Baby hoop earrings won’t last forever. The little hoops are so small that her ears will eventually grow out of them. Though, you don’t want to buy hoops that are too big. She doesn’t need saucers hanging off her ears. You may have to try out several pairs, but get a size that “looks right.” Real technical, I know.

As of choosing between sterling silver and 14k gold, it’s really your decision. There’s pros and cons for each. I do like simple silver earrings, but they get tarnished just like all silver jewelry. 14k white gold hoop earrings look very similar to the sterling silver earrings, but tend to be a little easier to care for. Really though, there’s not that big of a difference. Just look at several pairs and pick out the ones you like the best. This is fashion, not rocket science!

Children’s hoop earrings make a good secondary set of earrings. You really shouldn’t have hoops as your daughter’s only pair. Be sure you have a pair of studs that you can keep in when hoops aren’t appropriate

Children’s gold earrings can be found in nearly any shop that sells jewelry. Gold has always been the standard choice for any type of fine jewelry. It always looks fantastic and will essentially last forever. Many parents want their child’s first pair of earrings to be a keepsake of sorts. I hope that my daughter will pass her first pair of earrings down to her children years down the road.

You can find gold earrings for children in a wide number of styles. You can even earrings that aren’t specifically designed for kids that work just as well as children’s earrings. You just need to be sure that they don’t have any parts (such as hoops or dangling pieces) that could get hung on something as they are running around. You also don’t want to buy a design that is too big. Generally, the best types are simple studs.

Children’s gold earrings usually start at about $35. These are very basic 14k gold studs. Most styles will come in white gold and yellow gold. If you really want to go all out, you can find children’s diamond earrings at most jewelers. Though these will (obviously) cost more. When deciding how much you want to spend on jewelry for kids, always keep in mind that they are great at losing things. Children’s screw back earrings are something to look into if you are concerned about an earring getting lost.

If you’re concerned about an allergic reaction to the metal used in the jewelry, I highly recommend getting a higher carat gold. A higher concentration of gold means that there will be lower concentrations of other metals that have been known to cause allergic reactions. 18k gold is usually safe for most people; however, you can find up to 22k gold if you look around. Prices can go up significantly though as the gold concentration increases.

Something else you may want to look for is children’s earrings with safety backs. These safety backs cover up the sharp, pointy end of the earring. I would highly recommend these for any small children. It can be a bad deal if she falls on the side of her head and gets pricked. Even if the particular design you are looking at doesn’t come with safety backs, most stores will carry some that will work with just about any type of earring.

Lots of choices, right? I know I spent a lot of time picking out my daughter’s first set of earrings. Let me tell you though, I am so happy with the gold earrings that we did end up with. They look great and she hasn’t ever had any problems with them. I know that she will wear them for years to come.

Children’s diamond earrings have become incredibly popular in recent years. This has led to an incredible number of options to choose from. I know of several parents or grandparents that have gotten their child or grandchild a set of diamond studs for their first birthday.

Diamond earrings will last forever. I have one friend that still has the earrings that she was given as a little girl. She is planning to give them to her daughter when she gets her ears pierced. That’s one of the great things about jewelry. Unlike other gifts such as handbags or clothing, jewelry can be passed from generation to generation. Some of the best pieces are the ones that have a story to go along with them.

Some of the simplest diamond earring for kids start at around $50 and can go up into the thousands. Some of the expensive pieces can be very beautiful. However, you have to remember that they are kids and kids are good a losing things. Many parents will only let their daughter wear her diamond earrings for special occasions to keep them from getting lost.

The most common type of children’s diamond earrings are small gems in a simple 14k gold setting. These can be found quite easily for under $100. You can also find earrings in the shapes of things like crosses or butterflies. I’ve even seen some in the shape of elephants or little rubber ducks. If your daughter is a little older, let her pick out the type that she would like. While classic diamond stud earrings are nice, you want her to get something that she will actually like to wear.

Right now, silver and white gold are very popular settings. Sterling silver diamond earrings are great if you are on a tighter budget. Whereas, 14k white gold diamond earrings are obviously going to be more expensive.

If you are going to give your daughter a nice piece of jewelry like this, then it is important that you teach her how to take care of it from an early age. Get her a fun little jewelry box. I loved my little ballerina jewelry box. This will help keep her earrings from getting lost.

It is also a good idea to teach her how to clear her jewelry. Cleaning it is very important to keep it looking nice and to keep from getting ear infections. Make cleaning her earrings a fun experience. You can usually find all kinds jewelry cleaners at places like Target or Wal-Mart.

Diamond earrings can be a fantastic gift for your daughter or granddaughter. She will treasure them for years to come.

It’s becomming more and more common these days for parents to have their children’s ears pierced at a very early age. As this has become more common, many jewelry makers are beginning to create children’s earrings in a wide number of styles. You can find anything from simple plastic studs to elaborate children’s diamond earrings.

Years ago, the only thing you could find were simple children’s stud earrings. Even those could be difficult to find. However, earrings for kids can be found at nearly any place that sells earrings.

If you are buying jewelry for a child, there are a few things to need to watch out for. One of the biggest things is the type of metal that is used in the jewelry. Kids’ skin tends to be more sensitive than an adult’s. For instance, a lot of cheaper jewelry is make with nickel. While this may be fine for an adult, it is more likely to irritate a child’s skin.

When shopping for kid’s earrings look for nickel free jewelry. Some brands will follow the standard set in Europe of no more than 0.05% nickel. Also watch out for accessories made out of silver. Nickel can be present in silver jewelry. Before you buy it, check the package or tag. It should tell you what metals were used. Don’t just rely on something being labeled as “children’s earrings.”

So, what types of materials are appropriate for kids?

If you don’t mind spending a little more, 18k gold is the best. 18k gold looks great, will last for many years to come and is safe for all but the most severe skin allergies. You could also try 14k gold. However, this will contain a higher concentration of other metals that can cause a skin reaction. 14k gold baby earrings are actually quite popular and will usually be just fine.

For kids with very severe skin allergies, the safest metal is niobium. Niobium is an inert metal that is commonly used in surgical implants. Niobium earrings can be more difficult to find. If your local stores don’t carry them, many online retailers do.

Plastic in another great material for kids jewelty. It won’t cause problems for those with sensitive skin and it is usually quite inexpensive. Inexpensive jewelry is great for kids since they are so great at losing earrings.

You can usually find a wide variety of children’s earrings that are made with any of these materials.
